Alzheimer's Society

Conception

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Yet it isn’t the priority it should be. As the UK’s leading dementia charity, Alzheimer’s Society can change that – by funding new research, working with local and national government and helping people living with dementia from day one, bringing help today and hope for the future.

With over 1,700 employees and more than 10,000 volunteers, Alzheimer’s Society was seeking a consistently great quality and excellent value for money service.

Creation

The Society were sourcing over 8 million printed items per annum across a range of materials from:

  • collateral used to support fundraising
  • catalogues and pamphlets to promote the online retail arm of the society along with marketing materials
  • a range of magazines, fact sheets, booklets, guides and leaflets.

Alzheimer’s Society were looking for a supplier relationship to help them grow. We built a partnership to deliver this vision by lowering overall print costs, leveraging the entire print requirements and volume, offering a leaner approach with simpler ordering, reporting and invoicing, In addition, we designed and implemented consistent processes for placing work in an efficient manner by building an online portal bespoke to Alzheimer’s Society including their own branding and ordering catalogue.

Culmination

To further support Alzheimer’s Society, we built a new contract model, designed to give them full transparency and control. This new model was not just about making savings, it was created to ensure maximum value for money across customer service,
quality and cost.

The new model was based around key KPI’s and SLA’s set by Alzheimer’s Society, linked to:

  • Quote speed
  • Customer feedback scores
  • Deliverables
  • Quality
  • Engineered savings

Not only are we a partner of the Society but the Cube team are also Dementia Friends and are 100% committed to the cause. From memory walks, fundraising events and individuals’ sponsored activities, we’re proud to be part of the Alzheimer’s Society’s vision.

“Cube came through a rigorous procurement process, and have fully bought into our values of transparency, cost-efficiency and profit driven by demonstrable service quality. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
